Thank you to all the people that came out yesterday for our first event of 2019. This years Spring Vintage shoot was won by Ed Call with a 49 which was shoot with a Model 12. Second place was Joe Dancho with 28 gauge 870, and third was Robbie Migdaiski from the Suffolk Gun Club with a Fox SXS. On the Trap field Robbie Migdaiski once again won with a NID and Joe Dancho took second a LC Smith. We had 26 skeet scores and 8 trap scores. Then the boys shot another bunch of skeet including silenced skeet. It was a wonderful day even though the weather was not great. Our next event is our Spring Skeet Open in May

MAY 2019:
Three Man Team League:
We will be running a 3 man team league this spring starting in May. The league will be running on Tuesdays and require shooters to sign up in advance. Skyline staff with create the teams by known skills. The league is run by Skyline as a training tool for referees, winning team gets bragging rights and we end with a dinner. Last league was great fun. Everyone is welcome but sign ups end May 7,
The league will be 50 targets 6 scores required over 7 weeks, Shoot aheads, shoot behinds accepted. The three score of each team will be added together and the highest score wins. The lowest score from each shooter will be dropped. Cost is $12 per 50 targets. $8 targets, $2 for dinner fund and $2 pay refs.
You can sign up on the board on the skeet field or in the store or right here.
At the end of the League the new refs take the test, review them with Mr Call (once a teacher always a teacher) and become certified by the NSSA.

I would like to thank everyone that attended and all the help and support Ethan Call, Mattea Call and I received. Ed is doing much better, home and much healthier. A very special thanks to Kalan Knickerbocker who is the a god sent to Skyline. And Joe Dancho who came early and worked all day " played the role of Ed Call". All winnings will be mailed very soon.

Our next shoot is July 12-14th. It comes with a steak and lasagna dinner. And our Special Handicap Event has an Africa Hunt @ Mankazana Safaris in South Africa or $1000.

The handicap works like this. AA shooters get 0 handicap

A class gets few and D class a lot more then A. You shoot your 4 gauges and we do the classes like every other shoot you have attended. Then we take the same scores and put them into the Special events charts. We add your scores with your handicap, then the person with the highest combined score wins. ( I hope by trying to simplifying I didn't make it more confusing)

Our first Mankanzana Challenge winner was Hunter Dickerman and he won it the hard way, little to no handicapped targets. And right on his tail was Bill L., and Bob Nicholas. Hunter Dickerman took the hunt and attended it with Ed and Ethan Call this past April. And had a wonderful time.
